
The Cypress Recreational Complex includes Cypress I, which opened in August 2020, Cypress II, and the Cypress Recreational Center featuring level playing fields, full-accessible facilities, and sport courts with LED field lighting for nighttime play. Menendez and Booker secured the $1 million Recreational Facilities Special Needs Improvement Grant that funded this project. McCormac, State Senator Joseph Vitale (D-19), Assemblywoman Yvonne Lopez (D-19), Councilman Brian Small, and Woodbridge Township Chief-of-Staff Caroline Ehrlich for the groundbreaking of the federally funded Cypress II site, an underutilized space transformed into a new recreational facility designed to provide a safe space for children with disabilities and adults to participate in organized sports and fitness activities.
